Some time back, I was posting the study notes I was writing for aclass I was teaching Sunday Mornings at church. It was a study I did on prayer, one of the three pilers of ourrelationship with God. Well, after that class was over, somebad news hit me and really knocked me for a loop. I have neverreally dealt well with bad news and I fall into some pretty darkdepression. This news pushed me over the edge of where I hadbeen hanging for a long while. Today finally I saw some lightagain. That is the reason for this post.
There are three areas in my life I have really let slip in thepast months. Three areas I want to improve on, and since thingshave been pretty quiet here I figured I would post about it. These areas are Spiritual Development, Health and Wellness, andPersonal Development.
Spiritual Development
Lets start here. This is probably the most important of thethree, so it will be the one I put the most emphasis on. Thereare three pilers of spiritual growth and I want to focus on each on. They are prayer, the reading and study of the Bible, and personalworship. Each one helps us grow closer the Jesus Christ andgrow in our spiritual maturity. I will be posting a link inother page (look to the menu soon) that will be my Bible Readingtracker (my Daily Mana). It is a reading plan that was shown tome by a missionary once that has you reading 10 chapters of the Biblefrom 10 different books each day. I like it because it helpskeep my interest. I will also be posting here at least once aweek with my prayer results/time and what songs I am learning duringmy worship time.
Health and Wellness
I start here next because here I also know what I need to do tobetter myself. Last year I changes my eating habits for severalmonth and dropped 25 pounds! Well, I got lazy and have put itall back on now. I will be starting that eating plan againtomorrow morning (it is Herbalife if you are interested) and startingto exercise also (in the morning before work). That is twopilers for my health, but the third is probably the hardest. Iwill try to get more sleep. I don't like to go to bed and tendto stay up WAY too late, making it hard to get up in the morning. Well, if I am going to be having a healthy breakfast and exercisingin the morning, I need to get to bed (tonight will be the firsttest). I will be posting a chart online also where you will beable to see my progress as I loose weight over the next 12 weeks.
Personal Development
I have to admit this one has me stumped. I really have noclue how to even start with this one. If anyone has any ideas, send me an emailwith your ideas. I would really like to hear them.
